Vitamin E and Me

I’m not quite sure what’s going on with my skin, but out of the blue the skin around my eyes have become crazy sensitive. I don’t know if it’s because I’m spending more time outside (but I’m wearing facial sunscreen along with the SPF in my foundation) or if it’s just a part of getting older.

Regardless of the reason why, I have been searching for a new day cream, night cream and eye cream that will moisturize my dry skin without irritating the sensitive area around my eyes.

When I was in high school I used to work at the Body Shop, and for no reason that I can recall, I fell out of love with the company and really hadn’t used any of their products in 12 years. Despite my break from the company, I immediately turned to the Body Shop to solve my sensitive skin issues – recalling how the products were so kind to my teenage skin.

Lucky for me when I went to the shop they had a promotion on where if I bought 3 products I would get 2 free – so of course I immediately looked for my 5 choices. I landed on the Vitamin E daily moisturizer, the Vitamin E night moisturizer, the Vitamin E Body Butter, the Cooling Eye Gel and Pumice Foot Scrub.

Each of these products are great in their own right, and I’m seriously questioning why I ever stopped shopping at the Body Shop? The face creams and eye gel are gentle enough not to irritate my skin and are moisturizing enough for my super dry skin. My skin just soaks in the body butter and right now I’m relishing in how soft my skin is. The pumice foot scrub was one that I had in high school and the mint in it makes my feet feel so clean, soft and generally pretty happy.

If like me you moved away from the Body Shop for a bit – now’s the time to go back and try a few products out and be reminded how great they are. Also they have a great Cruelty Free International campaign going on right now about animal testing that could also use your support.
