Pampering my hair with Davines Shampoo and Conditioner

My hair doesn’t quite take the abuse and neglect it used to when I was in my twenties. After a lengthy hair pampering session at Ikon Salon with Anna (cut) and Sonia (colour) – aka the dream team – they send me home with Davines VOLU Shampoo and DEDE Conditioner to breath life back into my dry, limp, dull locks.

VOLU Shampoo – According to Davines

  • Ideal for fine or limp hair for increased volume
  • The formula, characterized by a soft and airy foam, is designed to gently cleanse the hair
  • Makes the hair soft and light and gives it body and volume
  • The scent that characterizes the VOLU family has a floral, green and aromatic note

VOLU Shampoo – According to Me

This is hands down the best shampoo I have ever used. It light, gentle and gets my hair super clean. There is no residue left behind, but it also isn’t drying. My hair totally shines and has found it’s youthful volume again. It’s so good I only need to wash my hair every 4 days!

Also a tip I learned that I wish I knew earlier in life was that you need to shampoo your hair twice – once to get the build up off and the other to really clean the scalp and strands.

DEDE Conditioner – According to Davines

  • Ideal for frequent use
  • The formula is designed to untangle hair leaving it soft and light
  • Does not weigh down hair

DEDE Conditioner – According Me

Suffering from dry hair most of my life I was worried about how light and how little of this product I was supposed to use. Well, as it turns out – less really is more! A little bit of DEDE conditioner goes a long way. My hair is so soft, so healthy looking and doesn’t tangle up like it used to. It also isn’t weighed down so it compliments the VOLU shampoo perfectly.

If you are looking to invest in your hair, and save yourself from the damage of the past – I totally suggest checking out Davines products. I don’t think I will be able to go back to drug store brands after this!
