*Although I was gifted these products my opinions are my own and have not been influenced*
A few weeks ago I wrote about Quo’s Sweet 16 event (here) and how excited I am about the products they are coming out with. Today I thought I would follow up with some reviews of their 2016 lip products – in particularly: the Colour Lust Lipstick, Lip Velour, Color Overload, Stain’n Love Lip Gloss, Lip Cocktails, Colour Spectrum Refillable Lip Gloss and the Lip Gloss set.
Colour Lust Lipstick – According to Quo
- Soft and creamy lipstick with great color payoff
- Long-lasting Color that you will love to use everyday
- Retails at $14
Colour Lust Lipstick – According to Me
I have the Pink Wisp colour and it is very soft and creamy. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s long-lasting – it’s pretty average in longevity. What I LOVE is that the top to the lipstick is magnetic – so there is no fear of the top falling off. Also the packaging detail (even into the product) is beautiful.
Lip Velour – According to Quo
- A radiant matte liquid lipstick that lasts
- Goes on liquid and sets to a matte, creamy texture
- Retails at $12
Lip Velour – According to Me
This is a very rich colour liquid lipstick which I love! It isn’t as matte as other products on the market, however that means it isn’t as nearly drying to the lips. Again I wouldn’t say that it’s long lasting – I do need to reapply throughout the day. That being said I really like the product and if you want something matte and liquid that isn’t painfully drying then this is worth checking out.
Colour Overload – According to Quo
- Nourishing Intense colour-pigment lip gloss
- Lightweight and comfortable to wear
- Satin finish
- Retails at $12
Colour Overload – According to Me
For me this one is pretty much the none matte version of the Lip Velour. The colour is still rich, but the product doesn’t last as long. It’s still a good product, but compared to the rest this one was my least favourite.
Stain’n Love Lip Gloss – According to Quo
- This light balm-like stain results in a bright and personalized look
- Special pigments reveal their magic once applied, by deepening the natural colour of the lips
- Retails at $14
Stain’n Love Lip Gloss – According to Me
This is my second favourite gloss of the 2016 lineup. They are light and have a great shine to them. For a gloss I find them really long lasting- which is a bonus. They have a decent amount of moisturizing properties to them as well.
Lip Cocktails – According to Quo
- Creamy scented balm hat provides subtle colour
- Retails at $11
Lip Cocktails – According to Me
These are cute – and I’m usually sold when things are names afters cats or alcoholic drinks! Very light colours which are great when you don’t want to play up your lips. The scent isn’t overpowering but they do have a bit of a taste to them (which I could do without personally). I didn’t find them to be overly moisturizing so can’t have it replace my regular balm.
Colour Spectrum Refillable Lip Gloss – According to Quo
- Lip gloss in an innovative refill format
- You can interchange with various refill shades
- Retails at $12 ($10 for refill)
Colour Spectrum Refillable Lip Gloss – According to Me
This is probably my favourite out of the Quo 2016 lip line up. The fact that it’s refillable really sold me on it! Beyond the packaging it’s a really rich pigment gloss and feels like butter to put on. I just love it!
Lip Gloss Set – According to Quo
- Set of 6 lip glosses in a beautiful array of colours
- Retails at $18
Lip Gloss Set – According to Me
These are cute little lip glosses. The colours are soft, 3 without sparkle and 3 with sparkle. Good size to toss in your purse or a travel bag.
